"Should Obama be sending out attorneys to attack the Arizona Immigration law?"

Original Opinion by Vultren (85)

If you think about it, in Arizona, they are just enforcing the federal law. However, Obama is spending tax money on attacking the very same people who are risking their lives everyday to protect America (police in this situation).

Instead of helping keep our country safe, the administration is attacking it and making it so that illegal activities are occurring.

Is this right?

Obamas legal affronts are not an attack on police. Any officer who carries out their duty to the letter of the law in Arizona as it stands is not subject to persecution. And the conditions of the lawsuits (I am veritably certain) are simply a repeal of the law, Arizona loses no money if they lose(Besides defensive legal fees) in the process.

This does not endanger police. As per my second source you can see that the number of violent crimes has decreased sharply since 1993, whereas the number of illegal immigrants in the country has risen sharply since 1989. Being that there are an estimated 22 million illegal immigrants in the US and a majority of crime is committed by US citizens, it would hardly be fair to blame them for endangering our country or our police.

And my third and final point. Illegal immigration does not directly correlate to an increase in illegal activity.(Unless you count illegal immigration)If you want a culprit for the increase of illegal activity, blame the US drug consumption, we create our own problem by being 60% of Mexican cocaine cartels' revenue.
