"Is Health Care Constitutional?"

Original Opinion by Vultren (126)

In recent news, a Federal Appeals court has said that Health Care is unconstitutional as no where in the constitution does it say you MUST buy anything from the government.

I have to agree with the ruling, if you don't want health care, you shouldn't be forced to have to buy it. End of story.

Requiring that people have health care at a federal level is indeed unconstitutional according to the 11th Amendment. According to that amendment, if it's not covered in the constitution it becomes a state issue. If my state decides that all of its citizens should be required to have health care then that's perfectly constitutional (assuming it doesn't violate my own state's constitution).

Not that it really matters since both sides of the political spectrum seem to trample over the constitution without any second thought.

The Militia Act of 1792 required all males between 18 and 45 to own a musket or rifle at his own expense.

"why federal health care" by Teddyroosevelt (45)

in order to understand the idea of ferderal health care i think we should look at other countries to find why healthcare works there what kind of countries have this system canada and many nations of europe the conection is that these countries have dencely packed polulations who live mainly urbanized countries like europe why is this significant because certain states in the union do not meet these ideas and would there fore not benifit as much from this system as well as the system being less effcient and adding to the federal bureacracy make me belive it would be better suited to be under state control that states pay for themselves
